Among the keynote speakers were the leading politicians of the opposition Yair Golan, Yair Lapid, Benny Gantz and Mansour Abbas, who offered insights into the current situation from both security and democratic perspectives. A particularly thoughtful exchange took place between the German Ambassador to Israel, Steffen Seibert, and Dr. Gil Murciano, CEO of the foreign policy think tank Mitvim. Together, they discussed Israel’s place in the world, Europe’s responsibility, and pathways toward a more peaceful future.

One of the emotional highlights of the day came from Professor Shikma Bressler, the leading figure in the protests against the controversial judicial reform. In a powerful speech, she inspired hope and courage, emphasizing the strength of civil society and the importance of a clear moral compass in uncertain times.

Following the main session, participants took part in smaller discussion panels focusing on key issues such as security, the future of democracy, and questions of identity in a pluralistic society. Despite division, incitement, and democratic backsliding, hope continues to grow. And with it, the conviction that Israeli democracy will prevail. The conference focused precisely on this task: fostering solutions, strengthening networks, and shaping the necessary transformation together.
