The Consequences of the War on Women in Israel: Essential, Transparent and Excluded
The report claims that war, like other crisis situations, affects women differently compared to men, and calls for the inclusion of women among policy makers. The report also calls for the adoption of a gender perspective in policy planning and decision-making in order to reduce harm to women and prevent further expansion of gender gaps in Israel. In addition, the systematic collection and publication of gender-segmented data must be ensured so that trends can be identified over time.
The report refers to a number of key aspects: representation in decision-making centers, employment, women in essential jobs, mental and physical health, domestic violence, increased proliferation of weapons in civilian spaces, and political persecution.
