The 11th class of the program for social and environmental economics

The 11th class of the program for social and environmental economics (formerly the program for social economists) has officially opened.

At the end of October, about 50 students of economics from three universities (Hebrew University, Tel Aviv and Ben Gurion) gathered at Beit Berl to hear about the program, to listen to fascinating lectures, but above all to get to know the program's facilitators and to get to know each other.

The purpose of the program is to build economic leadership for the public service. During over 30 meetings and seminars, they learn about economics from a critical and progressive angle. The highlight is their training in government offices, municipalities, regional councils and other public bodies.

Nearly half of the about 450 graduates of the program are indeed employed in the public sector and thereby contribute to improving the quality of life for Israeli citizens, to create inclusive growth, to protect the environment and to reduce inequality in Israel.
