Presentation of the Internship Projects of the Tel Aviv Group of the Program for Economy, Society and Environment (Formerly the Program for Progressive Economists)
The studies deal with the following topics: Recycling of plastic in Israel (client: Ministry of Environmental Protection), utilization of unconsumed food (client: Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security), the contribution of fitness facilities in public gardens to the health of the population (client: Ministry of Health), the new collective agreement for social workers in the public sector (client: Ministry of Finance).
The aim of the program is to train economically and socially critical managers for the public sector. In addition to the regular lectures, workshops and seminars, the internships in the various ministries and other public institutions serve this purpose.
As part of their project work, the students are accompanied by mentors, advisors, experienced economists and current and former high-ranking civil servants. The research results will be presented to the respective ministries in the coming weeks.
