On Monday, June 15, the students of the program gathered at Tel Aviv University to present their internship projects to their fellow students and selected external experts.

The studies deal with the following topics:

  • The Contribution of Community Social Workers to Strengthening Resilience in Times of Crisis and Emergency
(Commissioned by the Israeli Ministry of Welfare and Social Affairs)

  •   The Impact of Tax Incentives for Supermarket Chains on the Donation of Unsold Food to Communities
(Commissioned by the Israeli Ministry of Environmental Protection)

  • Addressing Barriers to the Transition to Renewable Electricity Generation
(Commissioned by the Israeli Ministry of Finance)

  • The Additional Costs Resulting from Delays and Obstructions in Electricity Distribution Projects
    (Commissioned by the Electricity Authority)

The aim of the program is to train economically and socially critical managers for the public sector. In addition to the regular lectures, workshops and seminars, the internships in the various ministries and other public institutions serve this purpose.

As part of their project work, the students are accompanied by mentors, advisors, experienced economists and current and former high-ranking civil servants. The research results will be presented to the respective ministries in the coming weeks.
