Mid-term Presentation Conference of the Social and Environmental Economics program 2026

On Friday, April 17, approximately 60 students from The Social Enviromental Economics Program joined a Zoom conference alongside experts and faculty from three universities—the Hebrew University, Tel Aviv University, and Ben-Gurion University—to present their specialization topics to fellow participants.

The internship program offers economics students a unique opportunity to engage directly with socio-economic policymaking in the public sector, particularly within government ministries. It combines practical training—such as applying analytical methodologies and writing economic reports—with hands-on experience and close collaboration with leading professionals.

This year, student projects were carried out in partnership with key public institutions, including the Ministries of Welfare and Social Affairs, Health, Finance, Environmental Protection, and Interior, as well as the Electricity Authority.

Throughout the program, participants are mentored by experienced economists and public sector professionals, including former minister Tamar Zandberg.
