International Holocaust Remembrance Day 2026 | The Power of Solidarity in Preserving and Building a Society in Times of Crisis

The main event to mark International Holocaust Remembrance Day will be held in cooperation with the Ghetto Fighters' House and the Municipality of Givatayim.

On this day, we seek to see the survivors and their legacy as a pillar of fire that will chart the path for us and the world to a humane, decent, and compassionate society.

Panel “With All Their Might” – The Recruitment of Civil Society in Israel

Panel members:

  • Dr. Amir Peleg – Chief Historian in Israel of the Claims Conference, member of the Yad Vashem Council
  • “Reliving the Horror”: Interviews with Holocaust survivors who survived the events of October 7 in the Western Negev.
  • Adv. Hanan Alsanah – Co-Executive Director at "Itach-Ma’aki: Women Lawyers for Social Justice”: Solidarity in times of emergency. The Jewish-Arab emergency center for food package distribution established in Rahat after October 7.
  • Merav Lapidot – Retired Deputy Commissioner and former Spokesperson for the Israel Police and the Ministry of Finance. Currently Director of PR for the Hostages and Missing Families Forum.
