Filmscreening and Discussion: Rabin's Murder – Choosing to look away

The film offered a powerful look at the circumstances surrounding Yitzhak Rabin’s assassination and the political atmosphere at that time. The discussion that followed picked up on some striking parallels between then and now. Chen Liberman, Omer Zanany and Yossi Melman discussed the current political climate, the resilience of Israel’s democracy and the important role of a vibrant civil society, in a conversation moderated by Antonia Yamin.

With the upcoming elections in Israel, the panel also looked at how open the political race remains and whether political change is possible.

It was an engaging evening, bringing together film, political analysis and an open exchange.
